Family Dispute Resolution and Mediation

Mediation is often encouraged for parties to try and reach an amicable solution to parenting and property matters prior to initiating Court proceedings.

In fact, parties are now required to have attempted mediation prior to initiating parenting proceedings in Court. There are of course exceptions to this requirement, for example urgent situations where there is a risk to a child or if you have experienced significant family violence.

We provide advice to clients prior to engaging in mediation and advice as to the likely outcome of their family law matter to ensure clients are in a better position to negotiate a fair and reasonable outcome. We also represent clients at mediation.
